Kiko Make Up Milano

A few weeks ago I went to Rome with my family. We were so busy sightseeing, that I didn't even think about shopping. Until we came across a Kiko store in Vatican City. I practically dragged my mum and sister in there and together we explored the wonderful world of Kiko.

The first product I was desperate to buy, was this water eyeshadow 228. It is a taupe/greyish shade with a pretty purple shimmer.I think it's a beautiful colour, but sadly it creases very fast, even with a primer underneath. I haven't tried applying it with water yet, so I'm not quite sure what that'll do to it.

Then I stumbled upon this beauty: the Glow Touch lips & cheeks 102 wave hibiscus. I've always wanted to try a liquid blush (well, sorta liquid) and it was on sale, so it was the perfect match! It is very easy to apply as a blush and as lipbalm, but I do think that it is less hygienic than something with an applicator. As you can see on the picture, it attracts dustlike honey attracts bees. Despite being unhygienic, I like this product a lot. It stays on your cheeks for a full day and it feels nice on my lips ^.^

From left to right: Wave Hibiscus applied as blush and applied as lipbalm, water eyeshadow 228 applied with water and without water

Wearing water eyeshadow 228 on my eyes and wave hibiscus as lipbalm and blush.

Now I really want a Kiko store in the Netherlands. I can't wait to try more of their products :)

Have you ever tried Kiko makeup? What did you think? Let me know in the comments ^.^

Lush Christmas Lip Products

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way to Lush! On a recent school trip to the Hague, we went to Lush and I bought these amazing products ^.^

Both of these products taste like Coca Cola, which is amazing because you don't have to worry about getting gross lipscrub in your mouth. There are also teeny tiny (eatable) hearts in the lipscrub. It makes my lips supersoft, even in this cold, horrible weather. The liptint is an orange-red colour and I think it looks really christmas-y. The only thing I don't really likeabout it, is the package. I can barely open it and when I manage to, I can't apply it real quick because I need a brush, otherwise my fingers will be red for the rest of the day (I've had that experience). It does stay on for a really long time, so that makes up for it. Oh and in the last photo it looks as if I have a really bad moustache. Guess I didn't realize Movember was over :').

I think these christmas products would make perfect gifts and I think the lipcolour would look really festive on anyone!

Have a nice day!

Experimenting With Makeup #2 | Au Naturel With A Pop Of Colour

Hi guys! Today I have a new Experimenting With Makeup for you! (And that rhymes, heheh) And I even made a tutorial! This morning I realized, that I never really wear any bright coloured eyeshadows, so I decided to give bright colours a chance ^.^ I'm very pleased with the result, so I hope you'll like it too!

Experimenting With Makeup #1 | Cara Delevingne Cannes Film Festival

Hi guys! I'm starting a new thing called Experimenting With Makeup, because I love trying new things with makeup so I thought I could share the results with you. I've already done something similar with a Rapunzel look and I loved doing that. Playing around with makeup is, in my opinion, one of the best things to do when you have a lot of makeup. I'll try to put up a post like this every single week from now on ^.^

This week, I tried to copy Cara Delevingne's look at the Cannes Film Festival. I used this tutorial from the amazing Dope2111 and I think it came out pretty well. Of course I'm not half as gorgeous as Cara, but who really is?

Oi, I'm sorry for the bitchy pose in the upper right photo, but what can I say? I'm not very photogenic :') I'm quite pleased with the results, but I think it would've looked better if I had just used a bit more black. And if I looked a little bit more like Cara. I think this look is ideal for parties, or maybe the upcoming christmas season? I would definitely suggest giving it a try, because it's pretty easy to recreate and I think it would look good on everyone.

So, are you going to give this look a try or do you let it pass?
Have a nice day!

Last Minute Halloween Tutorial: Grunge Rock Girl

Hi guys! I finally made a new video today! It's my very first makeup tutorial so don't expect too much from it. I had a lot of fun making this video so I might just make another last minute halloween tutorial soon. Unfortunately, we don't celebrate halloween in the Netherlands, so I never have a good reason to do something weird with my makeup. This year is different though, because someone from school is throwing a halloween themed party for her birthday. I haven't decided what I should go as yet, but I think it'll either be a cat or Tinkerbell. What should I do? Please help me out in the comments!

Have a nice day!

Summer Haul ^.^

Hi guys! I bought quite a lot of stuff this summer, but it was too much to show it all in one post, so I decided to make a haul video. This is the fourth video on my Youtube channel, and I have to say, I'm starting to like filming videos more and more every time I make one. I'm still getting used to the whole "talking-in-front-of-a-camrea-thing" so I'm still a little bit awkward :p I'm sure it will get better when I make more videos.

Have a nice day and enjoy watching ^.^

The Ebelin Makeup Egg

Of course I could not go to Germany without going to the DM! I bought a few things there including this curious object: the Ebelin Make up Egg. You've probably seen the Beauty Blender before, which is basically the same thing. I've never owned a Beauty Blender because I think they're a bit too expensive, so when I found these I just had to buy one. It cost €2,95 so it was worth a try.

But how does it work? Well, it comes in a small round plastic box. The egg itself is quite small, UNTIL you make it moist (ugh moist). It gets about as big as the palm of your hand. Then you need to squeeze it until it feels almost dry. After this step it's ready for applying foundation/concealer. To be honest, I don't really like this thing for applying foundation. I feel like it takes a lot more time to apply my foundation and it doesn't look as good as when I apply it with my Zoeva buffer brush. The foundation looks smudgy and the hairs on my face are more apparent. I do like using it for applying concealer, because it allows you to apply several very thin layers and it looks very natural. The egg is a bit difficult to clean (or I've just been using the wrong shampoo) so you probably need to replace it a lot if you use it on a daily basis.

This is what my face looks like when I apply foundation and concealer with the egg. Right is with and left is without using a flash.

I would recommend buying this egg if you want something to apply your concealer with, but I wouldn't recommend using it for foundation when you already have a good foundation brush. However, I do think the egg has several other purposes, you could even use it as a stress ball! ;)

Have a nice day ;)

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow

Hi guys! Today I want to share a beautiful product with you all! I know I'm a bit late with this product, but I wanted to show it anyways. I've seen lots of beautybloggers rave about it, but somehow, I was never convinced to buy it. I always thought I wasn't actually going to use it and it is a bit pricey after all. But I was wrong! I use this product all the time now, as an inner corner highlight, as a base under my eyeshadow or when I don't feel like putting a lot on my eyes.

I bought mine in 45 Infinite White, because I was looking for something that would make bright eyeshadows look even brighter. And this is perfect! I'm so glad that I finally bought it, because I can't imagine a life without it anymore.

The texture is amazing, the color is extremely pigmented, it stays put for a very long time (I wouldn't say 24 hours, but it still stays on for a long time without creasing) and you only need a little bit to cover your whole eyelid.

If you're looking for a beautiful inner corner highlight or a good base under bright shadows, this is the product for you! I'm definitely going to continue using it on an everyday basis. I hope this review was useful for you and I hope you enjoyed reading it!

Have a nice day! Bye ^.^ XX

"When will my life begin?"

Yesterday was one of those days where I was in a Disney kind of mood. Every once in a while, I have those moods where I'm obsessed with Disney music and this time, I was obsessing over the music of Disney's Tangled. I was actually just obsessing over Rapunzel. We are kind of similar, after all. We both have long golden tresses, green eyes and freckles and we're both wondering when our lives are finally going to begin. So, I decided to look up some Rapunzel makeup tutorials and I found a really good one, by Dope2111 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4D9zqyCxPk . I really liked this look, so I wanted to share the results with you!

Just  like Rapunzel, I think "When will my life begin?" every single day. It's just, some people have really fun and exciting lives and I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. Every day is the same and nothing ever happens. I know that I'm the only one who can change that, but I just don't know how. Sure, I don't expect life to be full of adventures where you search for Holy Grails or whatever, but as a little kid, I did think life as a 15-year-old would be a bit more exciting. Hopefully this blog will bring some excitement into my life and give me a less boring existence :').

And last but not least, the "I'm-dramatically-staring-out-the-window-while-wondering-when-my-life-will-finally-begin-pose". ;)

I really enjoy doing these posts, so let me know if you want to see another Disney princess or a different look! If we had Halloween in Holland, I'd definitely go as Rapunzel (I do need to grow out my hair just a little bit for that to happen, though). I think she's my favourite Disney princess at the moment, who's yours? Leave your answer in the comments below ^.^

Have a nice day! ;)

Summer Favourites: MAC Azalea Blossom Ombre Blush

The sun has finally decided to show her beautiful face, which means: a new summer favourites post! This time I will be talking about my favourite blush this summer: MAC Azalea Blossom Ombre Blush. Unfortunately, it was in the Daphne Guinness collection, so they don't sell it right now. However, it is a very pretty blush, so I'm still writing a post about it ^.^

How To: Galaxy Nails

Galaxy print. You've probably seen it everywhere, from leggings to shoes. So of course, your nails can't miss out on this trend! I've attempted to do this nail art, and I think I've done pretty well. It's pretty easy, because it's supposed to be messy, so not much can go wrong. Want to see how I did this? Click below!

Summer favourites: Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation

It's a beautiful daaay, the suuuun is shining! Which means it's time for another summer favourite of mine: the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation! I know that there are already a ton of other reviews written about it, but it's my summer favourite so I just had to share it with you.
The Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in shade 100 Ivory is a foundation with an anti-fatigue effect and it gives you a radiant glow. It protects your skin with SPF 15, which is always a good thing, and it even has vitamins in it. I bought this foundation after seeing a lot of beautybloggers and Youtubers using it and they all loved it. I wanted to try it out myself and I can't say anything else except that I love it! The colour fits my skin perfectly and I think the foundation has a really natural effect. There are tiny glitters in it, which gives you a glowy skin, but not too glowy and the glitters aren't visible when applied on my face.

I'm not wearing any make up on the picture above and I'm wearing the foundation on the one below. As you can see, I luckily don't really have a lot of blemishes, but I do have freckles. I would say that the foundation has a light to medium coverage, but it's buildable. I definitely feel like it lights up my skin immediately and I love the glowy effect it gives to my skin. My skin is always very dry, so I do have to hydrate my skin before I wear it. I think this foundation is very good for people with dry skin, because it doesn't emphasise dry patches or anything.

Another thing I absolutely adore is the bottle! It's made of glass and it has a pump. I loooove the bright orange because it brightens up my mood every morning and it looks very summery! I wouldn't recommend this foundation to people with oily skin, as it can look extra oily due to the glowy effect. If you have dry to normal skin, this foundation is amazing!

Next up: blush!

Bye! Xxx <3

The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty TAG

I'm feeling a bit uninspired today, but I do feel like blogging, so I decided to pick out a fun tag to share with you guys! Several beauty gurus have done this tag, so I don't really know who came up with the idea. Though I don't consider myself a beauty guru, I do love beauty so I thought this would be a fun thing to do!

 1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

My most inexpensive beauty item is probably nailpolish. I think my most expensive is my Urban Decay NAKED palette, which I boughton the boat from France to England. I think I paid 34 pounds for it, but believe me, it was worth it! ^.^

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
I love/hate my black pen eyeliner from Maybelline, because I love winged eyeliner. Sometimes I just can't get the wings even and I feel like throwing my eyeliner out the window.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
I think my Cranberry Joy body butter from The Body Shop. It has a really sweet smell and it looks kinda delicious too

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
Powder. I never use it. I do own a few powders, but I always forget about them. I don't really need them too so I guess that's why.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

A bold lipstick always gives me a lot of self confidence, though I almost never wear it in places where a lot of people know me (school etc.).

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
I love guys with an amazing sense of humour. And I have a bit of a thing for guys who wear nerd glasses occasionally.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Oooh tough question. Beauty related, MAC brushes, because I'm very curious about their quality and I just want to try them out. Non-beauty related, a new laptop. My old laptop is slowly falling apart so I kind of need a new one :p

Sooo, this is the end of this tag, If you're going to do this tag too, please leave a link in the comments, because I'd love to read them!

Summer favourites: Bourjois Rouge Edition Shine

Yes guys, it's almost summertime! Though the weather in the Netherlands isn't always that great, the clouds have finally disappeared and the sun is shining at it's brightest, which makes me very happy ^.^ To really get into the summer mood, I'm introducing a few blogposts with my summer favourites: products that I use and love for summer!

My first summer favourite is a lipstick by Bourjois. It's number 21, Rouge making of, from the Bourjois Rouge Edition Shine collection. I bought this lipstick a few weeks ago, and I've been wearing it very often ever since. First of all, the lipstick looks supercute. I think it's one of my prettiest lipsticks and the bright colours look so summery!

The colour is quite hard to describe. I think a perfect description would be pink-coral-reddish. I wouldn't wear it if you have yellow teeth, as the lipstick has a bit of an orange undertone. What I love about this lipstick, is that it is bright, but not too bright. It's a very wearable colour. It is a balmstick, which means that it feels nice on the lips, and it hydrates them too. The colour stays pretty long, I wore the lipstick on a school day of 5 hours, and I only had to reapply after eating something.

VoilĂ , my face with the lipstick :p Aaah I just love this lipstick! I definitely want to pick up some more colours from this collection. In the Netherlands, they cost 12,99 but I'm not sure how much they are abroad. Well, I hope you're feeling a bit more summery after reading this summer favourite :) Next up: foundation!

Ebelin brushes

While I was on vacation, I went shopping in Germany. I love shopping in Germany, because they have different makeup brands there and most makeup is cheaper than here. I went to the DM (basically Boots in Germany) and I found these brushes there! Ever since, I've been using them a lot and I like them a lot, so I thought I'd share my opinion on these brushes, for those of you who happen to live in or near Germany ^.^

I bought the mineral powder brush, which is actually a stippling brush, and a concealer brush. First of all: holy guacamole these brushes are soft! Especially the concealer brush! Both of the brushes smelled a bit weird in the beginning, but that went away after cleaning them a few times with brush cleanser. The brushes are synthetic and have quite a lot of hairs. The hairs on the stippling brush are very flexible and soft. I think it's a great brush for applying (cream) blush. You could probably use it for applying foundation, too, but I haven't tried that out yet. It's easy to clean and the colour doesn't stay on the brush after cleaning it. The concealer brush has a lot of very stiff hairs that are as soft as baby's bottom :p. I've been using it for concealing the dark circles under my eyes and i think it works great ^.^

My only problem now is, I need to find a new way to stash my face brushes. I used to put them in a cute coke can, but they don't fit in there anymore. Does anyone know a good way to stash your makeupbrushes? If you do, please share it with me in the comments!

50 Shades Of Lipstick.

Okay, not literally fifty, but I have way too much lipstick for someone who never wears any. I don't know what it is, but I keep buying lipstick. Whenever I see a lipstick that I like, I just buy it. It's like this natural impulse, an instinct that makes me do it, whether I'm going to use it or not. And I never end up really using my lipsticks. They just stand in my make up drawer, being pretty with no function. So I decided to make a little appreciation post for my lipsticks. Though I don't really use them, I do like looking at them and putting them on at home, where nobody can see my bold, colorful lips (well except for my family, who often make fun of me because of it).

Soooo I made a shitload of pictures (or at least it felt like a shitload of pictures) of me wearing all the shades of lipstick I own. Enjoy!

Woah that are a lot of lips :p But well, this was my little appreciation post for my lipsticks. I also own quite a lot of lipglosses, which I do wear often. I just like them better, because they feel nicer on my lips. And you don't have to be afraid of lipstick on your teeth ^.^

Bye XX <3
