I'm a mermaid!

I might actually need a fishtail before I can call myself a mermaid, but my hair makes me feel mermaid-ish (does that word even exist?). About two weeks ago, I suddenly felt an undeniable urge to dye the bottom of my hair turquoise. So I bought a tub of La Riche Directions dye in the colour Turquoise and dyed my hair. Talk about making impulsive decisions :').

I'm quite surprised to see that it actually turned out bright turquoise, because I didn't bleach it first. Of course it would've been more vibrant if I bleached it first, but I really like the colour as it is. I've washed it a few times now and it has turned into an almost mint green colour, which I think is lovely. Better than pink, which faded superfast and turned into an awful orange colour on my hair. I'm not sure how long I'll like this colour, but I don't think I'll get bored of it easily. After all, it makes me feel like a mermaid.

Have a nice day!

PS If you'd like to see a video on how I dye my hair, please let me know in the comments!

Last Minute Halloween Tutorial: Grunge Rock Girl

Hi guys! I finally made a new video today! It's my very first makeup tutorial so don't expect too much from it. I had a lot of fun making this video so I might just make another last minute halloween tutorial soon. Unfortunately, we don't celebrate halloween in the Netherlands, so I never have a good reason to do something weird with my makeup. This year is different though, because someone from school is throwing a halloween themed party for her birthday. I haven't decided what I should go as yet, but I think it'll either be a cat or Tinkerbell. What should I do? Please help me out in the comments!

Have a nice day!

Inspirational Post | Pastel Hair

Secretly I've always loved pastel coloured hair. It makes me think of fairies or mermaids and I really like the way it looks. This summer, I dipdyed my hair pink, which I loved, but I don't think I could ever muster up the courage to go through the whole bleaching/dyeing process. And I don't think I could get away with pink/lilac/turquoise hair. But fortunately there are people who look great with it, so that I can look at their pictures and share them with you!

And now I really want pink or lilac hair. Looking at all of these pictures might not be such a good idea after all :')

Edit: I was playing around a bit with Photoshop and I figured out how to change hair colours, so of course I tried pastel hair! This is the result:

I don't really think I could pull it off, but it's funny to know what I'd look like.
What do you think of pastel hair? Would you ever dye your hair such a crazy colour?

Have a nice day! XXX :)

To dare, or not to dare.

Sometimes in life, we feel the need to take a few risks. We get bored of our simple little lives and feel like we have to spice things up. That's when we dare to do things we thought we'd never dare and when we shamelessly say YOLO, even though we hate the word. Today was a perfect example of a day where I did things I never thought I'd have the guts for.

Today was our last day of school, so a few people decided to go to school in our pajamas. Well, I went in my onesie. Did I stand out from the crowd? Heck yeah. Did people think I was weird? Probably, yes. But did I enjoy it? A lot! I thought it was hilarious and a lot of other people thought it was funny and cool, too. So do I regret it? Nope. Not at all.

I had been obsessing over dip-dyed hair for one and a half year, together with one of my best friends. But we never dared to actually do it ourselves. Today was different. We were in a very impulsive mood, so we went to the shops and picked up La Riché Directions hair dye. We couldn't wait to try it out, so we dyed our hair immediately after we came home. It was so exciting and I'm so happy with the outcome, that I wondered why I hadn't done it before! Only because I was too scared of what other people were going to think.

What I'm trying to say with this really deep piece of writing is, don't be scared to do the things you really want to do. Dance like no one's watching, dip-dye your hair and wear the sweater your grandmother gave you for Christmas, if you want to! There will always be people who are going to judge you, no matter what you do. Dare to live the life you wish to live.

Have a nice day!

Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray

After abandoning this blog for another week (I'm sorry, I was on vacation and there was no wifi o.O), I'm finally back! Today I decided to share a product that I have been loving sooo much the past few weeks! The Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray by Lee Stafford! I wanted to buy a sea salt spray for quite a while and I finally bought one. There were quite a few brands that sold sea salt sprays, so I wasn't sure which one to pick. I'm happy I chose this one, because it's amazing ^.^

The only thing you have to do, is spray about 10 times, and you have the perfect beach babe look! You can use it on towel dried hair and dry hair, so you can basically use it whenever you feel like using it. I'm not going to lie, your hair does feel a little bit sticky the first two hours or so, but after those two hours, my hair feels completely normal and still looks wavy. This is what my hair looks like after I've used it:

My hair is already pretty curly/wavy on itself, so don't expect to get this much waviness, if that is even a word, but this spray does give you beachy waves and I think it works great to get a little bit more texture in your hair if you want to do an updo, too. I'm very glad I bought this spray, and I will probably be using it a lot this summer ^.^

XXX Bye! <3
