Kiko Make Up Milano

A few weeks ago I went to Rome with my family. We were so busy sightseeing, that I didn't even think about shopping. Until we came across a Kiko store in Vatican City. I practically dragged my mum and sister in there and together we explored the wonderful world of Kiko.

The first product I was desperate to buy, was this water eyeshadow 228. It is a taupe/greyish shade with a pretty purple shimmer.I think it's a beautiful colour, but sadly it creases very fast, even with a primer underneath. I haven't tried applying it with water yet, so I'm not quite sure what that'll do to it.

Then I stumbled upon this beauty: the Glow Touch lips & cheeks 102 wave hibiscus. I've always wanted to try a liquid blush (well, sorta liquid) and it was on sale, so it was the perfect match! It is very easy to apply as a blush and as lipbalm, but I do think that it is less hygienic than something with an applicator. As you can see on the picture, it attracts dustlike honey attracts bees. Despite being unhygienic, I like this product a lot. It stays on your cheeks for a full day and it feels nice on my lips ^.^

From left to right: Wave Hibiscus applied as blush and applied as lipbalm, water eyeshadow 228 applied with water and without water

Wearing water eyeshadow 228 on my eyes and wave hibiscus as lipbalm and blush.

Now I really want a Kiko store in the Netherlands. I can't wait to try more of their products :)

Have you ever tried Kiko makeup? What did you think? Let me know in the comments ^.^

I'm a mermaid!

I might actually need a fishtail before I can call myself a mermaid, but my hair makes me feel mermaid-ish (does that word even exist?). About two weeks ago, I suddenly felt an undeniable urge to dye the bottom of my hair turquoise. So I bought a tub of La Riche Directions dye in the colour Turquoise and dyed my hair. Talk about making impulsive decisions :').

I'm quite surprised to see that it actually turned out bright turquoise, because I didn't bleach it first. Of course it would've been more vibrant if I bleached it first, but I really like the colour as it is. I've washed it a few times now and it has turned into an almost mint green colour, which I think is lovely. Better than pink, which faded superfast and turned into an awful orange colour on my hair. I'm not sure how long I'll like this colour, but I don't think I'll get bored of it easily. After all, it makes me feel like a mermaid.

Have a nice day!

PS If you'd like to see a video on how I dye my hair, please let me know in the comments!

Music of the moment #6

Hey y'all -wait, since when do I say hey y'all? it's ridiculous- it's time for another Music Of The Moment!
I've been listening to all sorts of different music lately, so be prepared for a very odd combination of songs.

Upside Down - Paloma Faith

Yes, I'm kinda late with discovering this song, since everybody else already knows it. I really like her voice and style of music, it even reminds me a bit of Florence + The Machine. If you like this song, you should check out Just Be and Can't Rely on You as well.

L-O-V-E - Nat King Cole

This is a golden oldie. I've been listening to this kind of music for a week now, and it makes me so happy. It kind of, makes me want to dance around my room.

She Looks So Perfect - 5 Seconds of Summer

Over the past few months, I've fallen in love with these boys. They're so talented and amazing and YOU SHOULD JUST CHECK THEM OUT ALREADY AND BUY THEIR NEW EP.

Best Day Of My Life - American Authors

This is just a really good and happy song ^.^

Nina Nesbitt - Stay Out

Because Nina Nesbitt is awesome and her lyrics are brilliant.

What have you been listening to lately? Do you have any recommendations? Leave them in the comments below ^.^

Have a nice day :)

The Disney Tag

I came across this tag and decided that I just HAD to do this. I've always been obsessed with everything Disney, so it's the perfect tag :)

1) A scene in in any Disney movie you wish you could experience.
I wish I could experience the Be Our Guest scene from Beauty and the Beast, because I'd love to see kitchen utensils dancing around. I'm going to cheat a bit here, because there are actually two scenes I'd love to experience. Remember the lantern scene in Tangled? I'd loooove to experience that. Flynn is so sweet and it's such a romantic moment ^.^

2) An unforgettable experience moment you've had at the Parks.
To be honest, I can't remember much of my trip to Disneyland, because I was 9 years old. However, I do remember that I discovered pizza in Disneyland, which was a pretty big moment in my life.

3) What non-Disney song(s) reminds you or brings back memories of Disney and/or the Parks?
Why a non-Disney song? In the car we only listened to the same Disney CD over and over again. So I'm going to say 'One Jump Ahead' from Aladdin, because me and my siblings had this little dance that we thought was really funny so we were constantly dancing in the back of the car.

4) When was the first time you went to a Disney Park?
I believe I was about 3 or 4? So I'd say in 2001?

5) If you could choose any of the characters to be your best friend, who would you choose?
This is such a tough question. I can't choose! But if I really have to.. I'd say Anna because she's so funny.

6. Who are your favourite Disney princesses?
Elsa, Rapunzel, Tiana and Belle. I feel like all them have more depth than other princesses.

7. Name a scene/moment in a Disney movie that never fails to make you cry.
When Flynn dies. Buckets full of tears.

8. What is the first Disney movie you remember seeing?
101 Dalmatians.

9. What is your favourite Disney movie?
FROZENNNNN. But I really love Beauty & The Beast too.

10. Share a video or image that shows your love of Disney.

Yes, I know, fetus Vera was the best Vera ever. But the story behind this picture is that we were in Disneyland and I was completely obsessed with Belle. So I had to buy this dress. It was quite expensive, but hey, it still fits :D

That was the Disney tag! Who's your favourite Disney character?

Have a wonderful day ^.^

How To | Glue Gun Vase

Hi guys! Today I have a cute and easy DIY for you! It's super simple, but it looks really cute. Mine looks a bit uglier, but that's because my glue gun was stubborn (or I don't know how to properly use one) and a plumber guy used it to put water in. But, if you have a good glue gun and a nice plumber, it should come out alright ^.^

Stuff you'll need:

  • A hot glue gun
  • A vase
  • Paint and sponges or spraypaint
  • Embellishments

While waiting for your glue gun to warm up, you can think of the word you want to put on the vase. Then you just glue it on to the vase. It sounds easy, but it can be a bit tricky. Also, don't ever wash it with water, because the glue will come off.

When your glue is dry, paint the vase to your liking. I decided to use a sponge and neonpink paint, but you could also spraypaint it (which is a tad bit easier). After the paint is dry, you can embellish your vase with glitters or whatever you like.

Done!
Have a nice day :)

Hi guys! As promised, a new video with my new camera!

Have a nice day ^.^

Meet Fred!

Say hi to Fred! I called him Fred because, well, I like giving inanimate objects names. I've wanted to buy a good camera for about three years, but since I've only recently gotten a job, now I could finally afford one!

Deciding which camera I wanted to get was quite difficult, because I have a limited knowledge of the technical aspects of a DSLR camera. After reading lots of reviews and watching photos and videos made with several cameras, I decided to get the Canon EOS 600D. And I couldn't be happier. These are some photos that I've made to test it out.

I'm superexcited to discover all of the new options I have with this camera. The video quality is amazing too ^.^ I'll probably upload a video soon so you guys can see it :)

Have a nice day ^.^

Music of the moment #5

Source: We Heart It

Hello my dear friends! After a long while of not blogging regularly and feeling uninspired, I think I'm ready to start blogging more again! It also helps that I'll be able to afford a new camera in about a week, which means more photos and better quality videos. I literally CAN'T wait. I'm even doing a little happy dance as we speak. But as for now, I've got 5 new (well, I hadn't heard of them before) songs for you that I've been listening to a lot. Enjoy!

Music To Make Boys Cry by Diana Vickers

I had no idea who Diana Vickers was, until I came across one of her music videos on Youtube, but I immediately liked her voice. I especially like her acoustic songs, because I'm not really into that electronic music thingy.

Life Is Rosy by Jess Penner

I adore cute songs like this. If you're into this kind of music as well, you should check out Jess Penner. All of her songs have exactly the right amount of cuteness.

Let It Go from Frozen, performed by Idina Menzel

I love Disney. I love Idina Menzels voice. Perfect combination. It's such a powerful song, and it's about letting go of fears and finally feeling free. I could really relate to Elsa's character, even though, sadly, I don't have any supercool ice powers.

Anything Could Happen by Ellie Goulding

Yes, I know, I'm one of the last people on earth to discover Ellie Gouldings wonderful music. I think this is my favourite Ellie Goulding song, but I like Explosions a lot too.

Rogers + Hammerstein's Cinderella

Because I really like Broadway shows and secretly I'm a 6-year-old trapped inside the body of a 16-year-old.

Have an amazing Sunday ^.^
